When incorporating fireplaces into new residential construction, many contractors utilize a plain, modular unit. But Walker had other ideas for his newest custom home. Walker approached his sales representative who provided him concrete block for the home’s foundation and inquired about materials to build a full masonry fireplace.
When Walker laid eyes on a polished concrete masonry unit, he knew it would be perfect to dress up the house. But even he didn’t realize the fireplace and chimney would take the aesthetics of the home to an entirely new level.
