Block Design Collective Seeking Partners for CMU Design Assistance Network

CMC Seeking Qualified Design Professionals for Block Design Collective

Denver, Colo. (April 15, 2025) – The Concrete Masonry Checkoff (CMC) has issued a request for proposal (RFP) seeking qualified design professionals and firms for its Block Design Collective (BDC), a destination where architects and engineers can access free CMU project support and design assistance.

The BDC is the promotion, education and project support arm of the CMC and is accessible at https://blockdesign.org. A primary goal of the BDC is to provide national coverage to handle a broad spectrum of concrete masonry related inquiries in every state. This will require partnering with multiple consultants across the country in order to deliver high-quality technical support to designers and builders in a timely manner.

“We want to be fully prepared to meet the influx of inquiries that come in through the Block Design Collective as we look to actively promote the availability of these services and take a very exciting step for the concrete masonry industry,” said Riley Dvorak, National Design Director, CMC. “Our goal is to make things as simple as possible for our clients: engineers, architects, and builders. If they have a question – wherever their project may be located – we will have access to a deep pool of subject matter experts to find the answer.” Designers around the country will have one place to call for a wide array of services – from energy modeling to moisture management to structural design support.

The submission deadline for the RFP is Monday, June 30, 2025. For more information and to submit a proposal, please visit here.
